Growing a Better Community.
At the River District Farm, we believe in the importance of not only providing locally grown and sourced food to our community but also nurturing the relationship our neighbors have with the land and the farmers.
About the Farm

What We Grow
History of the Land.
We acknowledge that the land we are on at River District Farm is the ancestral territory of the indigenous Ktunaxa, Schitsu’umsh (CdA), and Spokane tribes, who have been known to live here for thousands of years. These native peoples have stewarded the land, the Spokane River and all its bountiful resources with deeply held principles of respect, harmony and reciprocity. It is our mission to continue this stewardship.
Interested in Volunteering?
Volunteering on The Farm provides the opportunity to learn about gardening, produce growing and processing, and the quality of our food supply. It also provides for a shared community experience with other volunteers with similar interests. Our volunteers share in the bounty from The Farm through a work/share program.
Our Philosophy.
Nourish our community with sustainably-grown food, to be a model of farm viability and to improve the health of families in our local community. Our produce is grown naturally, following sustainable, organic principles & practices.
